As you all know we are a volunteer organisation who dream big.

The Humans of Christchurch | Ōtautahi – met at Tūranga recently met to reflect and celebrate two years of story-telling.

Firstly, a huge thank you to you for being part of our vision to celebrate Christchurch and honestly share the stories of our people.   The Humans of Christchurch Ōtautahi has been invited to join the Christchurch Heritage Festival from 7 to 28 October 2019   This year’s theme is ‘Encounter Our Stories’, bringing together a wide range of community events and activities.

We have then been invited to showcase our exhibition on the ground floor of Tūranga.

We need your approval!

To begin work on our exhibition we need to check in that you are ok with having your image and story shared from Tūranga in a public exhibition and published in print.
Here’s what we are planning for our celebration and exhibition

Sunday 20 October 2019:  A formal opening and joyful celebration to thank you to all our humans to date. Save the date as YOU and your loved ones are invited.

Dates to be confirmed: an exhibition of our work displayed in one of the public areas of Tūranga.

Stories and images may be compiled in a booklet to honour our first 50 humans (depending on resourcing).

Some stories and images may also be used for publication in a commemorative book in the future.

To make our vision a reality, we need your consent to share your image and story with this wider audience. Please click the red button below to complete the formal consent process.

We are also looking for volunteers, skills and sponsorship to support us to run the event in October.

• Printing, Marketing and Creation of the Exhibition
• ProvidiExhibition Stands
• Pack in and Pack out of the Exhibition
• Meet and greet on the evening
• Drink suppliers who may be interested in showcasing and donating product
• Sponsorship – If you are a local business owner or know of a local business owner who may be interested in being a principle or supporting sponsor of this event at Tūranga please let us know.
